Do I Really Need a Blog for My Business?

Short answer: yep… but let’s talk about why.

Let me guess…

You started a blog at some point for your small business. Wrote one or two posts. Then…

Absolutely nothing since.

It’s sitting there on your website like a forgotten houseplant, slightly dead but could potentially be showing signs of life.

You know it’s probably important… but also… you’ve got approximately 73 other things to do.

So, let’s clear this up.

First things first… what is a blog actually for?

It’s not:

• a diary
• a place to ramble (although I do love a good ramble)
• or something you only do if you’re “a writer”

A blog is simply:

A place on your website where you answer questions, share knowledge, and give people a reason to find you.

That’s it.

So… why does it matter?

Because your website without a blog is kind of just… sitting there.

A blog helps your website:

• get found on Google
• show off what you know
• build trust with potential clients
• give people a reason to stick around

And the best part? It works in the background!

Yesss we LOVE to see it!! Get things done without you having to even THINK about it!

No daily posting.
No dancing on Instagram.
No trying to beat the algorithm.

Just content that keeps doing its thing quietly.

“But no one reads blogs anymore…”

Ah yes, the classic line.

People might not sit down with a cuppa and read blogs for fun… I mean, I still do but that’s cos I’m 84 years old and I love tea and reading.

But they are searching for answers every single day.

Things like:

• “how to…”
• “best way to…”
• “why is my…”

And guess what shows up?

You guessed it, baby. Blogs.

The real problem isn’t blogging though.

It’s consistency.

Starting is easy. Keeping it going? That’s where it falls apart.

Because when things get busy, your blog is the first thing to get pushed aside (hellooo, guilty as charged! We’ve all been there.)

But let’s set the record straight here.

You don’t need to blog every week.

You don’t need to be perfect.

But having some consistent, helpful content on your site?

That makes a big difference.

And yes, you’re probably sitting here thinking…

“Okaaayy FINE, I get it… but I’m still not going to do this myself”

That’s cool.

But that’s exactly where I come in.

I take your ideas, your knowledge, your “I should really write something about that” thoughts… and turn them into blog content that actually works for your business.

No blank pages. No brain farts on what to write about. Leave those up to me (kidding, my brain never farts, eww).

Have a good think about what this could mean for you, your businesses visibility online and the potential customers you could reach.
